We're so excited to host Kelly of Odette Press for two nights as she visits from NYC - April 10 + 11th!!!
Join in for an evening of meditative paper marbling and create a collection of marbled papers! Suminagashi is the ancient Japanese art of paper marbling, and translates to "floating ink" or "spilled ink". In this workshop, you'll explore the wonders of floating colorful ink on the surface of water to make mesmerizing prints.
Guided by Kelly Laughlin, founder of Odette Press, you'll learn the basics of the process, the history and materials, then relax into the flow of the practice as you use color, ink, water, breath, and a variety of papers to make your mesmerizing marbled designs. Truly a meditative experience, this process is simple, inspiring, and tranquil.
No experience needed, this workshop is perfect for anyone looking for an inspiring, relaxing creative experience. Come alone, or bring a friend, and enjoy a night of calm and creativity.

Meet Kelly + Odette Press:
Kelly Odette Laughlin is a NYC-based teaching artist, writer, and creative guide and the founder of Odette Press. Her practice is an infusion of movement, ink, breath, paper, water and lyricism, drawing from a deep connection with the senses and nature.
