We're thrilled to host a hands-on butterfly pinning workshop where you'll learn the art of pinning and preserving a stunning Blue Bottle butterfly! 

Discover the full process, from sustainably sourcing to properly hydrating, pinning, and preserving your specimen. You'll work with expert guidance for the entire butterfly pinning process.

All pinning materials are included as well as a shadow box for your finished piece.

You'll leave with your carefully pinned butterfly, ready to display as a unique piece of natural art for your home!

No prior experience is required!

Meet our event partner Domingo with RIP Repurposed!

Domingo is an artist and freelance insect-pinning educator. They created RIP Repurposed as a means to honor life, death, and eternal transition through sustainably sourced insect and bone artwork and jewelry. Their oddities and queeriosities pop-up shop, workshops, and private pinning workshops travel all over the Chicagoland area and are now expanding out of state.
